Symptoms

The symptoms of sinusitis and rhinitis are similar.

Rhinitis is an inflammation of the mucous membranes of the nose, while sinusitis includes inflammation and infection of the cavities and nasal passages.

Sinusitis can be acute, lasting less than eight weeks, or chronic, lasting much longer.
