Renal failure

Renal failure or kidney failure occurs when the kidneys are unable to filter toxins and other waste substances from blood properly.

It is important to get this condition under control, because the kidneys are vital organs that filter out and eliminate waste products from blood.

Risk factors. In some cases it is unknown which mechanism led to kidney failure, but the factors involved in its onset most frequently include diabetes and hypertension. Some recurrent urinary tract infections or autoimmune diseases can also cause it.

A healthy lifestyle (a balanced diet without salt, exercising regularly and not smoking) are essential to prevent the development of kidney diseases.
