Prevention

Do not eat raw or undercooked meat or raw cured sausages.
Thoroughly cook all meat.
Wash (under the tap) vegetables and fruits, especially if they carry soil and will be eaten raw.
Wash (with a lot of water) utensils and work surfaces in the kitchen faucet.
Wear gloves when working in the garden and to avoid contact with the ground.
Wash hands after touching a cat that has spent little time at home or that lives outdoors or semi-outdoors with access to other outdoor cats, or when there is a chance that it has ingested live prey (rats, mice, etc.).
