Lice are known for producing severe itching and very annoying irritations, usually on the scalp, which is their favourite place to nest in humans. They feed on the blood of their host and spread easily through close contact with other people.
Risk factors. Anyone can become infected with lice, but these parasites tend to show up much more active in children, especially when they start classes, as they share space with other children and start infecting each other.
Prevention. The best remedy is delousing the individual through an antiparasitic shampoo purchased in pharmacies or recommended by your doctor, as well as cutting hair to the scalp.
