- If it is a serious case, you must quickly alert the emergency services.
 - Put the victim in a horizontal position with raised legs.
 - Locate bleeding, which is sometimes hidden by clothing.
 - Stop the flow of blood by applying pressure with a piece of clean clothing, always pressing against the bone at the point closest to the wound.
 - Continue applying pressure until emergency services arrive.
