Epilepsy is a brain disorder in which clusters of cells present excessive electrical discharges and carry an overwhelming amount of signals.
Epilepsy can appear at any age, but primary epilepsy usually begins early in life. In a few cases, when the frequency of seizures is not controlled, permanent brain damage (disability and severe disability) can result.
